A day in life of CQAM in CLW

CMM machine AMC staff did not turn up in the morning. Terminal box connection process was inspected in the Shop # 23

Loco 30049 WAP5 in the test and trial line was inspected, one of the operating rod was not working , same was reported to Dy.CME(ELF) .

Despite reminding in PPM there are movements without movement slips in from Shop #17 and 18.
Reports from shed:- Sr.DEE BRC informed that one of the 3 phase locos he received recently, valve set of traction converter has become defective, and same is being sought to be replaced with help of GZB shed.

Regarding Railway Board’s letter dated 29.11.11, inspection was carried out in the wheel assembly shop (Shop# 09 ), and fitment of 8 bolts was inspected .

These axle end tightening bolts were of CAPARO make(not approved), oversized by 5mm ( 90 mm instead of 85 mm) but were tightened properly ( with 80nm torque wrench).

8 holes are tapped at both ends of the axle.Tapping of holes was done with the standard  tap. In order to accommodate over-long stud/bolts, depth of the tap was increased hence tightening was ensured.

CMM machine was operated by Sh Duddel (Only artisan who knows to operate this machine)  of TM shop today . Labyrinth measurement was tried  but machine could not work properly. Shop supervisor asked AMC staff to attend tomorrow.

This machine was out of order due to belt broken and was reported made fit day before yesterday only.
PPM was attended in the afternoon.
